Does this hand sanitiser kill Covid-19 virus? The Short Answer: Yes. All our hand sanitisers contain from 68-78% Isopropyl Alcohol which will kill Covid-19.
The Long Answer:
US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) – the US National Health Protection Agency, recommends using hand sanitisers with at least 60% alcohol which will help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. The guidance for effective handwashing and use of Ireland hand sanitizer in community settings was developed based on data from a number of studies.
"CDC recommends the use of alcohol based hand sanitizers Ireland with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% Isopropanol (Isopropyl Alcohol, IPA) as the preferred form of hand hygiene in healthcare settings, based upon greater access to hand sanitizer Ireland. Health care providers who use alcohol based-hand sanitizers as part of their hand hygiene routine can inform patients that they are following CDC guidelines".
According to The World Health Organisation: "Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands."
Usage Directions
When using hand sanitiser alcohol hand wash, apply a small amount of disinfectant gel to the palm of one hand (read the label to learn the correct amount) and rub the hand sanitizer all over the surfaces of your hands until your hands are dry. The alcohol hand sanitiser gel will vaporize within 15-20seconds leaving behind bacterial free hands. For surface, spray a certain amount onto the surface and wipe off with a clean cloth or paper wiper.
Why? The steps for liquid hand sanitiser use are based on a simplified procedure recommended by CDC. Instructing people to cover all surfaces of both hands with alcohol sanitiser gel has been found to provide similar disinfection effectiveness as providing detailed steps for rubbing-in hand sanitizer.
Caution: Keep away from children and do not swallow
Swallowing alcohol-based hand sanitizers can cause alcohol poisoning.
Why? Ethyl alcohol (ethanol)-based Ireland hand sanitizers are safe when used as directed, but they can cause alcohol poisoning if a person swallows more than a couple of mouthfuls.
Children may be particularly likely to swallow hand sanitisers that are scented, brightly colored, or attractively packaged ((our hand sanitiser gels are free from dyes and perfumes). Hand sanitisers should be stored out of the reach of young children and should be used with adult supervision. Child-resistant caps could also help reduce hand sanitizer-related poisonings among young children. Older children and adults might purposefully swallow alcohol gel sanitiser to become drunk.
